All Hail Caesar!
The hottest fuck stud on the planet dons his gay apparel and tells us what he really thinks about bisexuality, porn stardom, dancing with Madonna, and the one thing that makes him happy
.

He’s even sexier in person. That’s the first thing I notice. I silently curse the cameramen, editors, and directors of Caesar’s erotic films for displaying this stunning man in a less-than-perfect light. The second thing I notice about Caesar is that he has an aura that envelopes him; a magnetic field of sheer sex appeal, an indefinable charisma, and...something else, something I can’t quite put a finger on.

We sit down for coffee at a painfully trendy Hollywood cafe, and as I observe him, he catches my eye and winks. And it hits me: Caesar has “It”--that ineffable thing that defines and deifies our most popular actors and rock stars. We can’t really put a name to it, but we know it when we see it in front of us. And on this warm late summer afternoon on Hollywood Boulevard, I’ve found myself sitting in front of a man who definitely has “It."

A few more details about Caesar: He's from the Midwest. He's proudly bisexual. He laughs a lot. He's opinionated and a spirited conversationalist. He's fidgety. And he talks a mile a minute, as if the words and ideas can't spill from his mouth fast enough.

You’ve been involved in the adult entertainment industry for longer than I thought.
I’ve been touring, dancing, stuff like that, four or five years. I started making movies in late 1998. My first was Cadets for Studio 2000. I was listed under “Derek Michaels.” They wouldn’t let me use “Caesar” at that point; they didn’t like it for some reason. And then the first movie [under that] name was Hail Caesar! with Catalina. Those two movies were…[laughs] bad, just bad. I was stressed out, tense. Worried about the repercussions of doing this, worried about what could happen if it got out that I was--you know. I was really tense. [Laughs]

Tell me about the dancing. When did that start?
I got out of the Marine Corps in ’96. I had been dancing with the Chippendales for the last six months I was in the Marine Corps while stationed in Hawaii. I was doing anything that last six months, getting ready to get out. I was ready.

How did you work out the dancing with them?
It wasn’t like I told them. There are guys in there now doing porn movies, and people don’t know about it. I came back, started doing parties--various clubs around Chicago, Michigan, Indiana--and really started pushing it. I started my own dance troupe and we branched out, went national, and people started having me come headline before the [featured] porn stars performed. That’s how I ended up meeting Chi Chi LaRue, and the whole ball started rolling from there.

Had you thought about making porn films?
You know, I thought about it. I thought it would be fun. But I never--I never thought I’d be sitting here, having you ask me questions about it. [Laughs] You know, I always wanted to be an entertainer, an actor. You know what happened? I always wanted to be an actor, and after I did my first [adult] movie, I got a call. A regular acting call. It was for that TV show Cupid. Remember that show? And I missed it. I thought it was a call to be an extra, and I’ve done that already. But this was for a speaking part, and I blew that one. [Laughs] I’m getting called for commercials. I don’t know how that’s gonna work out. I’m not too sure if they know I’m a porn star. If they don’t, I’m not gonna tell ‘em. [Laughs] I hope they do, ’cause that would mean they don’t care. That would be great. I want to do that. I want to break through. I want to be the one who does it and doesn’t hide or lie about it. I think people are ready for it.

What else have you got going on now?
I did Madonna’s party [the release party for her CD Music]. I was one of the dancers. It was cool to be picked by Madonna. She wanted four of us--Jeremy Tucker, Nino Bacci, Jeff Palmer, and me. We danced together. I was dancing around, drinking, and I grabbed someone’s face--you know, just fooling around. I didn’t realize it was her! She just said, “Hey, cutie,” or something like that and gave me one of her rings. That was it. So that was fun. That crowd, the celebrities--it felt good to be up there in front of them. The one thing in my life that I’m totally sure about one hundred percent is dancing. I love it.

I’ve seen you out dancing around town.
[Laughs] Oh, really?

It was impossible not to notice. You’re great-looking and a terrific dancer.
There’s nothing else in the world that could make me that happy.
